I haven’t exactly made tons of progress, but I’ve managed to get a little bit done so I’ll stick with my scheduled program and share it anyway. The city is a basic backstitch, in order across the first row is the Pekinese Stitch (or Chinese, blind or forbidden stitch), Single Feather Stitch and Chain Stitch. Then the black bear is Outline Stitch, which was actually a little harder to get perfect than I expected. I love having this in the living room for those t.v. kinda nights. As the weather continues to turn, I’m sure I’ll be spending more and more time working on embroidery snuggled up in a blanket. Can’t wait!
In the meantime, I’m back in full on show preparation mode. I’ll be showing at Ojai Day on October 19th which will be much larger than my last event and I’m so excited to put all my ideas and improvements from my 1st show into action.
One of my words for this year was “Confidence” and I gotta say, I’m really feelin’ good about where I’m at right now. I can’t believe how long it took me to finally do a show but it’s opened up a whole new world I want to immerse myself in! Whether or not I make a living with this whole venture, I love having a passion project to focus on and this space to share it. I’m gonna do my best to share updates along the way, but we’ll see what life allows for in the coming weeks!
P.S. It’s my 33rd birthday today and I can’t remember a time I felt any happier. I really am like a fine wine, lol ♥
