Textile Art

The city scape below was my first official Art Quilt made one afternoon back in 2009 on a whim using bits and pieces from my scrap bin. From that day forward I was hooked on the spontaneous process of fabric collage and free motion sewing. Some of my work is in a miniature quilt format thatĀ hangs from dowels or branches. Other pieces are carefully stitched onto canvas frames to create a more structured finished artwork that wraps around all the edges. My favorite way to display this work is in a cluster on a wall with a variety of framed artwork and printed canvases to add depth and texture to the collection.
